Friday Night Meditations Return!

Last year I did a series of Friday night online guided meditations, just one a month, and I am bringing them back for 2026 from July to November. Below is the list of dates and themes:

  • July 24 – Balancing the Charkas
  • August 21 – Connecting with your Higher Self
  • Sept 25 – Full Moon Meditation
  • October 23 – Gazing and Walking Meditations (all you need is your yoga mat and a candle or crystal)
  • November 20 OR 27 -Yoga Nidra Full Body Relaxation

Each meditation is $25 + HST. The classes begin at 6:30pm and run for approximately one-hour, via zoom.

What to expect?

In our hour together we will focus on body awareness, stress-relief, reflection and insight, sometimes including note-taking and the option of sharing experiences (or asking questions) at the end.

Each class, comfort will be key so you will want to set yourself up in a quiet room, with soft lighting, and a comfortable laying-down or seated position. You might even spray some essential oils, use an eye pillow, or heated padding for a more luxurious meditative experience. You get to make this your own!

Why Meditate?

I always say if I could make a living teaching just meditation, I would! I started exploring meditation when I was a teenager (years before I started practicing yoga). As a visual person, I had a lot of fun being guided on inner-world-adventures, and found a lot of insight and inspiration from my experiences. Things I never would have learned about myself and my life otherwise. These experiences fed my creative spirit, and I would often find myself with deep written reflections, poetry, or art as a result.

People come to meditation for a variety of reasons, but most want some inner peace. Stress-relief, relaxation, or to learn some mindfulness. Many people also get frustrated when meditations do not work for them. To that I say, don’t be discouraged! Finding a style of meditation that works for you, might be challenging. Thankfully, there are many different forms of meditation, and if you are able to find one that suits your nature, you will likely have a bit more success. That takes some time and exploration!

I encourage you to join us, one Friday (or all of them) to start your meditation journey… and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly – Jenni – at gentle_hatha@live.com.
