It has been long in sooooo many ways.
Since March 2020 my business has gone through the wringer! I have done my best to roll with all the lock-downs, restrictions, and vaccine passports. I transitioned to online classes, I tried to keep in-person classes running safely when we were not in lock-down, I have navigated more credits and refunds in the last year than I ever have in my 18-years of self-employment. I tried to compensate lost yoga income with my art, and ultimately, in the new year, I started a new job as a Child and Youth Worker.
I am SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has held on for the ride with me! As life continues to change and evolve, so have our yoga classes. Your patience has been phenomenal, especially most recently as I recover from my “long covid” and continue to bump classes around… The March/April session is looking pretty messy right now, but by May we should be back on track!
This year has been a powerful one. I have learned a lot of lessons about work, creativity, people, relationships, and motherhood. The pandemic turned out to be a strange blessing in many ways because it forced me to get deep about what is important, vital, and necessary in life. A lot of tough choices have been made as a result.
2021 showed me how strong I can be, how rich my life is with love and support, and how much I can accomplish when I put my mind to it. It has made me a better person, well equipped to face whatever the future has in store…
Onward and upward my friends!
Good to hear you feel yourself coming out of long CoVID and things are falling to place. Like you, I found surprising gifts in the last two years. My focus shifted completely and after many years of busy business building, relationships are now the drivers of my life, including a deeper relationship with myself.
All the best to you as you go forward. I wish I lived close enough to take one of your yoga classes!
