Today I did something I’ve avoided for a very long time… I started an Instagram profile for The Gentle Way of Hatha. When I first signed up for Instagram, I used it for all the things: yoga, art, mom life, nature… to capture all the things I love. However, I didn’t like having “everything” so public, and reverted the account to a personal/private account. This really limited my Instagram reach for business though, so now you can follow me here:
I am excited to use this profile to share about my personal and professional yoga experiences over the last 20+ years. I started meditating when I was 14! I taught myself yoga when I was 17. On top of my Yoga Certification I have studied the Akashic Records, I completed the first two degrees of reiki, I gained an additional pre-natal yoga certificate through Esther Myers Studio, I deepened my knowledge of yoga philosophy in Montreal with Jackie Dumaine of “The Yoga Code” (most recently the “She Starts Now” podcast), and had a powerful experience with Seane Corn at the Toronto Yoga Conference. I love bringing all these combined energies onto my mat and into my classes, I hope you’ll follow me on Instagram to learn more!
Summer Yoga Classes
Summer is the time of year when classes get quiet… I’m grateful I can say I have a full schedule of classes running this year, and I still have space in 3 of the 4 groups. If you are interested I have an online class Tuesday nights via zoom, or a Wednesday evening class in Port Hope, and a Thursday morning class in Port Hope. Check out the Yoga Schedule for more info. Classes begin the first week of July and run for 8-weeks.
Mid-Summer Full-Moon Women’s Circle
Monday, July 31st at 6:30pm will be the next full moon gathering. Should we do this in person or online? It has been a long time since we gathered in person, and I feel an outdoor event would be a lovely summer treat. However, for my friends far away I do enjoy the energy of having your online presence. Meditation & Visioning Workshop
Saturday, August 12th, I am tentatively planning an afternoon workshop that would include a variety of guided meditations combined with vision boarding, to offer you an opportunity to connect with your inner landscape and outer world in a more unified way. We will learn about grounding, focusing, dreaming/visioning, and affirming. Ideally you’ll leave this workshop feeling clear, calm, and confident.
