WHAT IS SACRED GEOMETRY?
For me it is an integration of art, science, history and spirituality. It balances both masculine and feminine energies, and left & right brain. I love this definition from Robert Ferré “Sacred geometry is the act of studying the divine act of creation and then using that knowledge to create in the same way. By studying nature, we find that the basic building blocks of creation are geometric. Since a divine hand is responsible for originating the numbers and proportions of the manifest universe, that geometry is sacred. Studying sacred geometry leads us to truth and self-understanding. All societies use sacred geometry to construct their temples, sacred places, and art. Chartres Cathedral, for example. And its labyrinth. Numbers aren’t just for counting, nor are they just symbolic. They are the actual essence of everything that exists.” (https://labyrinthsociety.org/sacred-geometry).
WHAT IS A CRYSTAL GRID?
A Crystal Grid consists of specific crystals, laid out over a sacred geometric pattern, that work together energetically towards a specific intention or focus. The crystals are chosen with the specific intention or focus in mind i.e. healing, love, abundance etc. The crystals are laid out over sacred geometry to enhance the flow of energy to them. They are meant to help manifest your intentions, amplify your vibrational frequency and assist in healing…keep in mind that they will only do so, if that is of the highest and greatest good, and you must be open to the changes that may occur when working with these crystals.
MY JOURNEY BACK TO CRYSTALS
As a child I was always collecting rocks and crystals. I loved spending time in nature, and pretty much lived outdoors. I took art, drama and dance in school and loved it, but as a teenager I allowed my left brain to take over. The logical “realistic” side became dominant, and I pursued a career in science. I took Biotechnology at Durham College. I had completely shut down the creative side or right brain side of my nature. After completing college I got the 9-5 job, got married, bought a house and had my two beautiful boys, but something was missing.
It wasn’t until recently, when I started to reconnect with my inner child, and decided to give myself permission to be creative again, that I found some inner peace and purpose. I took a workshop with Miranda Goody on creating a mala bracelet and mantra mediation, and it was there that I was reintroduced to the healing properties of crystals. Around the same time I was participating in a challenge called “Give Yourself Permission”, through my mindset coach Cassie Jeans. I choose “I give myself permission to be creative” and started examining the limiting beliefs and self-talk I had adopted about my creativity, and what I considered important.
This led me to work more with crystals, and learn about how they work with our chakras and emotions. I was drawn to crystal grids, but knew little about them and had a hard time finding someone to teach me more about them. I began my own studies, which lead me to pyrography (wood burning) and sacred geometry. I gave myself permission to set aside the time, and money to create crystal grids. I initially was only making them for myself, but felt a burning desire to share these creation with others, so that they too would benefit from the healing vibrations of crystals. I have been overwhelmed with the support of both my local community and the online community.
HOW YOU CAN INCORPORATE CRYSTAL GRIDS!
Crystal Grids are meant to enhance ones intentions. If you have done any self-growth work than you have probably come across affirmations. Affirmations are statements that help one to feel empowered and focused on a positive outcome. For example the affirmation that I use for my business is “I measure success by how much fun I am having” (taken from Gabby Bernstein’s’ miracle now cards). After determining my affirmation and my intention, I can then choose the appropriate crystals to help manifest the desired results or shifts in my energetic field. For this affirmation I choose to work with Carnelian, Citrine, and Hematite. Each crystal has different properties but they all tie back into my main intention.
Carnelian: Is a stone that helps to activate ones Sacral Chakra. The Sacral Chakra is linked to the pleasure centers, our creative flow, and our emotions. Carnelian helps to energize and motivate one in pursuing their calling in life. It stimulates creativity and enthusiasm for one’s passion.
Citrine: Activates the Solar Plexus Chakra, which is linked to self-confidence, will power and our energy center. Citrine helps one to become motivated, and take action to manifest their dreams. It encourages one to enjoy life, and not take everything so seriously. It allows one to have the confidence to move forward despite past mistakes or fears of failure.
Hematite: Hematite is a grounding stone, it is linked to the Base Chakra. It is very protective, and aids one in shielding themselves from negative energy. It is said to boost confidence, especially in women. It helps one to focus, and stay present in the moment.
The center stone or focus stone is a Quartz Generator. This is the amplifier stone, it is meant to transmute energy throughout all the crystals and out into the Universe. It is always the largest stone on the grid. It may be a larger raw or polished stone, or can be a generator, pyramid, sphere, skull, heart or any other shape that is larger than the small supporting stones. I like the Quartz generator because quartz has the ability to be programmed to work with any crystal, and amplify their properties, it is the chameleon of crystals.
The Sacred geometric pattern I choose is called the Seed of Life and also contains a triangle. The Seed of life can be found throughout history in many different countries, and religions. It consists of 7 overlapping circles that has been said to represent the 7 days of creation. It is a symbol of new beginnings, creativity, and growth. The triangle is said to be representative of mind, body and spirit. It is used to amplify and direct energy.
There is a method to activating a crystal grid, and you can read more about it in my free Ebook. Once the grid is setup and activated you leave it alone and let it do its thing. I like to re-read my affirmation daily, and meditate close to the crystal grid to soak up the energy. When you feel it has completed its intention (may be a day, week, months or year) you can deactivated it and use the grid for a new intention.
The possibilities for affirmations, crystal combination and sacred geometry are endless. You can see more of my creations on ETSY, Facebook or Instagram, and I am open to custom work where I will assist you in discovering what crystals you need to work with at the moment.
All of my creations are created with loving intention, and I use my Level II Reiki energy and symbols to cleanse and charge the grids before sending them to their new homes.
Light and Love,
