This fundraiser had taken a path all it’s own since we started promoting it two months ago. In fact it has branched into a few different paths!
The June 6th hair donation has branched into an opportunity for the children I work with to donate their hair with me. Although we are far from the goal of me shaving my head, I will still donate 12 inches of my locks to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. It has been a fascinating experience sharing stories and ideas with the children and their parents and my co-workers about sharing and giving.
I have also decided to do the tally and draws on June 6th and will notify and post winners before classes on the 8th.
The June 8th yoga classes have branched in a different direction as well! Finding an affordable space to host a fundraiser proved much more challenging then I had anticipated. This lead me to thinking it was going to have to be an outdoor event… but where?!
I was directed to a community farm in the making! A lovely piece of land 10 minutes north between Port Hope and Cobourg. I took a stroll through the property with the owners, and there was a lovely open patch of earth, secluded and surrounded by nature. Bliss.
And so… this has become a rain or shine event! The schedule has had to be juggled a bit for me to be available to lead groups in and out of classes (not far, don’t worry!). So the new schedule is as follows:
- 11:00 am Gentle yoga with me, Jenni Burke.
- 12:30 Yoga with Jenn Apple Pridham.
- (break)
- 2:00 pm Med Mob with Jenn Apple Pridham.
- 3:15 pm Yoga Flow with Christina Harvey-Klein.
(My final class has been removed from original schedule). There is still lots of room to join classes, or to donate towards Jenn’s treatment. Contact me at gentle_hatha@live.com with questions or to donate. Namaste~
